What Expenses and payables does
Expenses
Record what the business spent, by category and date. Each one posts to the ledger.
Vendors
A record per supplier with its tax number, an export, and a statement of what you bought and paid.
Vendor bills
Enter a supplier bill with lines, input VAT and reverse-charge VAT where it applies. Attach the scanned bill to it.
Part payments
Pay a bill in full or in parts, and void a payment that was entered wrongly.
Payables aging
See what you owe by how overdue it is, and download it as CSV.
Input VAT report
The input VAT you paid on bills, ready for your VAT return.
Cost centres
Tag a bill or expense to a project, a branch or a vehicle, then see profit by tag in Accounting.
What it does not do yet
So you do not find out after you start.
- There is no purchase order or goods-received step.
- It does not read a scanned bill automatically; you type the bill in.
- There is no automatic payment run to your bank.

What is the difference between an expense and a bill?
An expense is something you paid at once. A bill is a supplier invoice you will pay later, so it shows up in what you owe until it is paid.
Does it handle VAT on purchases?
Yes. You can enter input VAT and mark a bill as reverse-charge. The input VAT report lists what you paid.
